Gordon Marsh

As the son of a British Army officer, Gordon grew up in the Far East (Malaysia and Singapore) which opened his eyes to other cultures and possibilities.

His career started as an Inspector in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force, where he learnt Cantonese and became so interested in Chinese that he left the R.H.K.P. to study Chinese at Leeds University, where he read German and History, as well as Linguistics and Mongolian Studies.

Due to his interest in history and exploring the world, he has been involved with Incentives, Sports Marketing and luxury educational travel for almost 30 years, having planned and led many trips with learned members of the National Geographic Society, The American Museum of Natural History, The Smithsonian Institution, WWF, Harvard, Yale and Princeton among others.

In addition to living in Hong Kong, Gordon spent five years leading tours to and from China. He has also lived in Egypt (Cairo and Luxor) for two years, running operations for a major European Travel company.

He has been involved in the operation of 'Round the World' and educational travel in North America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, Far East and Pacific, as well as the implementation of dual language (English and German) travel programs in Hong Kong (SAR), Peoples Republic of China, Mongolia, former Soviet Union and former German Democratic Republic.
